Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)

To attain the CERA credential, a candidate must successfully complete the requirements shown below. Requirements include examinations, an e-Learning module, validation of educational experiences outside the SOA Education system (VEE), and a professionalism seminar. Candidates who earn both the CERA credential AND have passed the Predicative Analytics Exam at an administration in 2022 or earlier, and have their Application for Admission as an Associate approved by the SOA Board of Directors will be granted membership as an ASA. Candidates who do not meet these conditions do not have an alternative pathway to earn an ASA.

  • Already an FSA or ASA and considering a CERA credential?
    • Members who have already attained an FSA and are seeking the CERA credential must successfully complete the Enterprise Risk Management examination and the Enterprise Risk Management Module.
    • ASAs should contact the Registrar at the SOA office to find out their current credit status and remaining credits needed for the CERA credential.
