Before MIM DESIGN - Kenji Mimura -

Before 1985

1947

 

Kenji Mimura was born in Tokyo. 

 

1969

Mimura designed and developed the racing car.

He sent EVA Antares 1A and EVA Antares 2A
for the 2nd Tokyo Racing Car Show.

1970

Mimura sent  EVA CAN-AM 2U and EVA type3A FJ 
for the 3rd Tokyo Racing Car Show.

1971

 

Special selection was awarded to MANA06
 at the 4th Tokyo Racing Car Contest.

1972

MANA08 won the championship as a Japanese racing car
 at the American FB race at the first time.

1974-1976

Mimura organized private F-1 Racing Team. 

He designed and developed the F-1 machine MAKI F101 ,
 and tried a F-1 race in Europe.

1978

Mimura took the office as the executive director of DOME Inc.

He was concerned with the design and the development of the super sports car DOME- ZERO.

1980

  DOME-RL80  finished the Le MAN 24-hour auto race completely as first Japanese racing team.

1982

 

Mimura took office as the executive director in TOKYO R&D. 

He took charge of HONDA (motorcycle), 
TRIO (car stereo system), development of articles such as YANMAR (lawn mower) and concept design, and so on. 
 

 

1985

 

Mimura established MIM DESIGN CO.,LTD.
