this over two weeks ago, still nothing !!!!i want to know if there's any way of suing these people. i have been conned out of my money, and now i want it back! i paid with my credit card. are there any comebacks? re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on may 16, 2004, 7:35pmhi,if it is the sophia monroe scam you are referring to, according to the year 2004 page, sophia monroe has died. i don't know who is running the company now, but, as you paid by credit card, you should contact them. tell them everything you can, give them my url, and ask them to refund the money that you sent. in the uk, you have to wait 60 days before making a claim for non-delivery, it might be different where you are. since this is a scam, you may get them to get going sooner. in the usa, kinloch marketing was handling the mailings and replies, but i don't know who is doing it elsewhere.don't forget to file a complaint with your local consumer protection organisation. if you replied to a newspaper advert, write to the publication, to report the dishonest advertiser.best wishes, kevin.re: astrology scam exposurepost by lolichan on may 19, 2004, 9:55pmexcuse me. i found your page on google.com.i have received a letter from "maria duval" (55 madison avenue, suite 400, #4070 morristown, nj 07960).i do not know how she got my address. the letter was really long, so i will not describe it in great detail. she wants me to send her $10 so she can send me a copy of "the great secret book of the initiated".has anyone else received a letter like this? it is rather frightening.re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on may 19, 2004, 11:51pmyou are on a mailing list, bought for a few dollars. just like millions of other people around the world. if you send money, even $10, to the maria duval organisation, i predict that you will receive junkmail from all the crooks imaginable. if you care to read the maria duval booklets that i have put on my website, you will see that there is nothing in them that will make you wealthy.although the winning of money is usually the main thrust of the mailshot, as soon as you start sending for the merchandise, the big winnings are never mentioned again.the address you give will be a maildrop, designed to make sure that you don't find out where the money goes. although they promise a "refund if not delighted", you won't get all the money back.you are lucky that you checked up on the internet before paying out your hard-won cash, thousands of others believe that they have been singled out for the undivided attention of madame duval, and some of them email me to find out what to do next. the advice of consumer organisations around the world is this. bin the mailshot, or better still, recycle it.re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on may 20, 2004, 10:20amplease note: i have no control over the choice of advertising which pays for this message board!re: astrology maria duval's return address is 55 madison ave, ste. 400 #4070, morristown nj 07960-7348. like you, i find the whole thing a bit on the 'hoax' side. $10, for a manual i will never get. and how exciting: once we reply, we can sit for 15 minutes cosmically 'talking' to her... i'm picking up her thoughts already... she is thinking about her new car and new furniture paid for by americans.folks, there is not such thing as 'easy money'. further, she requests your date of birth and place of birth. make sure you hand her your social security number, while your at it. then again, she is psyhic... doesn't she already know all these things? no longer content to rip off folks in the uk, it seems as if our gifted friend has made the journey across the big pond to test new waters. do not fall for it.people like this give holistic and new age arts a bad name. re: astrology scam exposurepost by herbert on may 27, 2004, 5:34pmi live in holland and i got a letter in dutch in wich exposurepost by eplier on jul 9, 2004, 4:04pmi have reveived a letter from lise & rose recently. i am very glad to have found your web site. being "elderly" made them seem viable somehow. howtocomplain.com has a few listings of complaints about them. let's all continue to stick together & warn eachother of these scams. it is important to know what's real & what is purely fake. sometimes it's hard to tell, let's all watch out for eachother so we never get scammed. luckily i was able to avoid it, someone who hasn't found this site or others similar may not be so lucky. would anyone happen to know about "pasqualina" or "sara freder" by chance? please respond to this message if you have any information on either of them.:-[re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington greatly appreciated! thank you! regah72! re: astrology scam exposurepost by vicky on aug 12, 2004, 3:58amhi my name is vicky from australia, i too have been a victim of these so called scams some of the ones i have dealt with are pasualina receiving daily emails, saying how much i will win if i send money which could be from $30.00 to $60.00 so she could send me my lucky numbers. others in the last 2 years have been sophros, bella, blanche calmette, miss elizabeth, tina and carmen. they seem to have gotten me at a stage where i was feeling real down about my life, i got sucked in real bad. i did send some money and got nothing out of it. when i sent back the tailsman and charms they send me, saying if i was not happy to send them back and i will get refund no questions asked? well that was a big joke, have never recieved any money or explanations. i could tell a few stories. if anyone knows anywhere i can get my money back i would appreciate it. know every time i get predictions in the mail before i throw them in the bin i check website to see if theses people are for real. got sucked in once not going to happen again. my email is saxon3@optusnet.com.au kevin i would like to say thanks for this website and the great information you and others have providedre: astrology scam exposurepost by amicus on aug 12, 2004, 11:51amkevini have been receiving emails from sara freda for about 6 months now. if you want to have a look at one of the web pages i get sent then here it is: http://www.sara-freder.com/code15/index.asp?cclient=04211/5142421it is addressed to me and is on the same bent as maria duval. i have not sent this person any money, but as i explained in my other post, i did send $320nz to her and managed to get $160 nz back, but have not received any further monies.i have thought about going to my bank and requesting information regarding the cheques and where they came from, but have not done anything yet.the refund cheques were new zealand, bankof new zealand cheques and they didn't bounce, but then again, none of what duval predicted came true either.you might be able to make something out of the sara freda web site or i might use my tacking by jennifer on aug 20, 2004, 5:52pmhi there. i never in a milion years would have expected me to be scammed by maria duval. i found your page and the one at voy.com and realized that my letters were the same as the ones posted on this site. she has changed some of the words around, though. but it is pretty much the same. she sends i ching cards, does tarot readings, rents statues, seances and many other things. i can give you guys more information if you want. i can't believe i was sucked in. i guess i always knew it was a scam. thats why i did an internet search on her name. i just so wanted to believe that my life and could become easier and more happy. i've had more than a few difficulties, lately. the one thing she keeps saying over and over, which got me over and over again, is that in my life up until now i have not been able to take advantage of all the many oportunities that have come my way. and that she would help me to see the oportunites coming my way, because i cannot see them myself. and i fell for this crap??? i looked back at all the letters she sent me and i cannot believe that i fell for this!! i feel like an idiot. i only sent a total of a few hundred dollars. probably $300-400. so i'm not so upset. sorry this is kinda long. i just felt like getting out my frustrations. thanks!!jenniferre: astrology scam exposurepost by amicus on aug 22, 2004, 9:43pmit is funny, how these guys, maria duval, (www.sara-freder.com), sara freda etc all seem to say the same thing. they all pray on peoples insecurities and emotional issues. i suppose thats how they catch everybody out.as i mentioned previously, i have been receiving unsolicited emails from sara freder for 12 months now. they seem to arrive every 2-3 weeks and are now starting to repeat themselves, even though she states that she has just had some form of premonition.i have been saving each web page she sends me, as after each new premonition, my web page changes. it seems they now have gone around in a big circle and she is now repeating herself, although she says they are new events that are going to happen and only she can guide me through these events. she must have a very poor nights sleep, because she always seems to wake up in the middle of the night thinking of me and then going to check my file. i presume i am not the only person she is trying to con, so must be up and down like a yo yo, all night. she tells me i had an extremely bad experience when i turned 13 years old and only she can help remove all my bad luck.it would be extremely interesting to see if sara freder and maria duval have anything in common except for being con merchantsre: astrology scam exposurepost by jennifer on aug 23, 2004, 1:11ami just started receiving emails from sara freder as well and she said the same thing to me!! i haven't paid for anything from her, though. she says that my case is the most exceptional case she has ever seen and that all the negative energy came from my 13th birthday! her emails were amusing. i atually enjoyed reading them. she told me that my bad luck comes from someone who put a curse on me. she said it was most probably an elderly person and they are probably dead by now. she said she had to do some dangerous action to alleviate all my bad luck. i wonder if there is one person to trust out there that practices this stuff?re: astrology scam exposurepost by amicus on aug 23, 2004, 10:08amjennifer, i think she is just another scammer. i decided to keep all her information she sent me, to just compare it with anyone else who received emails from her.i do have a clairvoyant (spelling) here in new zealand who is very good. right down to names and dates. i find her quite scarry with some things.sara freder appears to be just another who scams money out of vulnerable people and when people are vulnerable, for what ever reason, they sometimes cling to anything for hope. i have not sent her any money, but from what you have written here she is sending the same to everybody. bye the way, i am not saying you were or are vulnerable.i'm still $160 out of pocket with maria duval, but at least she sent me $160 of the $320 i sent herre: astrology scam exposurepost by jennifer on aug 24, 2004, 1:08pmi'm not even gonna bother getting my money back. i have not calculated how much i lost but it is in the $400 range for sure. i sent out lot of money. i'm not really angry about the money. well, i am but it is the fact that i trusted her blindly. i still cannot believe that i did this to myself. i just found out last week that she was a scam so it is still fresh in my mind. lately, i have been depressed a little. probably a little vulnerable, but after this you can bet that i won't let this happen again! re: astrology scam exposurepost by amicus on aug 27, 2004, 3:10ami hope offence was not taken by my comments, as it was not meant. it just annoys me how these people, the likes of (maria duval and sara freder) can continually get away with these frauds and the government agencies set up to deal with such fraud, never seem to warn people or stop these scams in their tracks.i hope this web site helps people and warns them of the scams. thanks for setting the site up kevin.re: astrology scam exposurepost by ken on aug 27, 2004, 7:28pmhey it's not as bad as i was scammed. i get two or three letters a day on average and can't get them to stop coming. i stopped responding to them recently but they keep coming up with new ways to lure you in. finally i decided to just decide which mail i should throw away and which to keep and now i throw all psychic letters away. in total i have probabaly paid about twelve hundred to fifteen hundred or more to these people. re: astrology scam exposurepost by jennifer on aug 31, 2004, 1:26pmi recently opened a new letter the other day and you have to read the guarentee! i couldn't believe it! i do not know if kevin or any body else here has seen this before but i figured i'd share!"...reflect carefully in your soul and conscience before asking for your money back. otherwise your subconscious would risk retaining the imprint of what it would regard as a 'failure of mutual trust'. and it could be 'torn' between two opinions. it might wonder if it really should bring you benefits for which you had not paid the fair price. a kind of 'blockage' might result which would prevent you from being able to obtain what you are asking for..."but earlier in the letter she says this, " your subconscious does not think, nor does it decide: it obeys and faithfully carries out what it believes you are asking of it!"isn't that sort of a contradiction? re: astrology scam exposurepost by ian on sept 1, 2004, 8:14amim ian and i live in baltimore. yeah, i send money to david phild and another youll win the lottery psychic and peter popoff the christian guy - i even sent to get some money from some so called wealthy family in nevada. the thing with the bible is i prayed to jesus christ to heal my finances by giving me a lottery win and it didnt happen based on a bible verse which states if you believe youve recieved you will. thats bogus. you know how they say its all a numbers game? well as a hobby i love numerology and find it scary because numbers in this universe are so powerful - but even so, im much more likely to pass in debt than become something though - in a way.re: in reply to jennifer's messagepost by tim on sept 2, 2004, 4:22pmcan we now say that dear maria is the mother of manipulation?frankly, the business must be in dire straits. in europe the consuber authorities have banned all adverticing in the name of maria duval. they seem to be watchfull too and seem to monitor the results of their actions. perhaps this is the particular reason why in germany people have received posts from divinah, who happens to look exactly like maria duval. an attempt to bypass the ban of the duval business if any. another observation is that currently many people are propably requesting their money back which tendency certainly needs and has thus triggered a responce from the business gnomes. in germany a widely spreading magasin bild am sonntag recently published a three page maria duval article, assumedly critical. there is to be expected at least a couple of television features on the same thema in german language too. the media seems to have interest in this as long as there is a continuous internet activity around this thema.timre: astrology scam exposurepost by jc on sept 3, 2004, 10:57amhi!does anybody knows how to which will enable me to seek happiness and good fortune. this is of course a discounted price!no mention of the millions i was going to win for the original price of $10.00 she is i see still mentioned before, i sent her $320.00 (silly me) and received a software produced horoscope, magical pictures of maria, chants and all sorts of other rubbish.under her unconditional guarantee, i requested my money back, for all the readings and enchantments. i have so far received $160.00 back and the cheques did not bounce.i have now written to her 4 more times and have receivedno response, except further mail promising great things will happen to me in love, money amd work. don't they realise that when you ask for your money back, you have lost faith, if you ever had any and you most probably don't want to hear from them again.i have now contacted the new zealand commerce commission and made a complaint about the advertising and lack of refunds. at this point in time i have not for the past 5 years i have been receiving stuff from the likes of sonie monroe, maria duval, int para centre, but the best one so far was from ted krammer from gallery originals 3285 cavendish blvd suite 472 montreal canada. i had been chosen to receive 2 awards and i have to ring 0800-917-4173 to find out all about it. i rang and was told someone would ring me back. ted krammer rang and and told me through a promotion they were doing i was to receive either £2,000, £3,000, diamond cut bracelet, cruise for 2 4 days 3 nights or £5,000 car or the money. fantastic i thought, but then the crunch, i had to part with £450 to receive a painting with certificate of authenticity to get my awards. i hasten to add we argued for over an hour because i did not believe him. i then started my search to find this so called company. they do exist, but not in canada, in new york usa. i rang them and was told no promotions were being held on behalf of their company. so you see it pays to check. i could have lost alot of money but did not fall for it. i reported the above to recol complaints in canada and also phoned trading standards in the uk. ted krammer also has a side kick called stan flanders and their so called secretary is called janet. i normally pump for info and get as much as possible before taking the matter further. i gave a short interview on the radio just over a year ago warning people not to get caught up in these scams. please please please do yourselves a favour and dont send money to these people, you will get nothing in return.re: astrology scam received today, another letter from her or who-ever she is. previously, the addresses on the envelope were from australia but now they are post marked in singapore. (no 29 tampines street, 92, singapore, 528879)again she is offering me this money back guarantee that if within 30 days i have not received a large sum of money, she will refund my $80nz. we all know what that means. this time she has offered me the "the great secrets of powerand money" and the "powerful secret of the i ching".anyway, i just thought i'd let you know she has changed her address down here, thats if it even exists.i am going to follow up on my complaint to the commerce commission and if that doesn't help with this hoax, i will write to the tv networks and also radio stations in the hope that something can be done about this organisation.mikenew one on mepost by beachhutman on nov 4, 2004, 1:58pmjulie haley, po box 58194, 1040 hd amsterdam. she is offereing to sell her "seven secrets" for only £32 pounds instead of £448 !!!!most of these scams are delivered to this address via royal mail's joint venture with tnt, spring, which was set up to handle this stuff. they even have a manager at rm hq whose job it is to manage the spring operation, so making it easier for these crooks to target the uk. see http://www.sovereign-publications.com/atspring.htm for details.i have repeatedly asked rm to stop accepting scams from holland, but as they make a lot of money from it, they won't stop without political pressure.re: astrology scam exposurepost by sceptic on nov 4, 2004, 9:49pmmy 8 3/4 month deceased mother's also just received her junk. the mail address is the same as that for emilie paul (coding: eu32-ruf+). i notice that the 12 page leaflet is personalised on each sheet - they contain her mug^h^h^hcustomer number, and the letter coding: ku05-rug2.as i collect more of these, i'm beginning to work out what the codings mean, but there always seems to be a twist when i think i've got something. i've received lots of rugn codings recently:ku04 rug2 - 07/10 - carmenku05 rug2 - 03/11 - julie haleylu40 rug2 - 24/09 - (unknown - letter junked unopened)lu39 rug2 - 24/10 - michelle albyeu47 rug2 - 17/09 - (unknown)bu15 rug1 - 18/10 - celrigothers use different codings, eg one uses:mlcmmyy/mlcunnnn/mug_idwhere mmyy is the month/year mailing. the nnnn is a four digit code and the mug_id is the same (customer number) as used by carmen, etc. this, incidently, is marie la chance.re: new one on mepost by kevin harrington on nov 7, 2004, 8:25pmquote:julie haley, po box 58194, 1040 hd amsterdam. she is offereing to sell her "seven secrets" for only £32 pounds instead of £448 !!!!most of these scams are delivered to this address via royal mail's joint venture with tnt, spring, which was set up to handle this stuff. they even have a manager at rm hq whose job it is to manage the spring operation, so making it easier for these crooks to target the uk. see http://www.sovereign-publications.com/atspring.htm for details.i have repeatedly asked rm to stop accepting scams from holland, but as they make a lot of money from it, they won't stop without political pressure.this is a most interesting piece of information. confirmation of the connection between royal mail and the dutch postal service. according to the site it is possible to find the costs of sending junkmail. beachhutman, could i ask you to send for a quote, for the delivery of 50,000 c5 size envelopes, from france to the uk, presorted by postcode etc. i would like to know how much the scammers pay. if you vote whether the return of undeliverable mail is important or not, you'll see that most potential customers say it is not. so, what happens to all those mailshots that we send back marked gone away - return to sender?also note that people in australia are targeted by mail coming from singapore. now we know why.deutschsprachige seitenpost by dinkum on jan 12, 2005, 5:22pmauf deutsch "http://dinkum.ohost.de"re: astrology scam exposurepost by hazzer on jan 30, 2005, 7:07pmi spoke to a 62 year old lady today over the phone whilst at work. she has been conned by the people behind the anthony carr psychic scam, as i have just found out thanks to astrocat.com and your site.the thing that worried me was, not that she confessed to giving them alot of money, but that these people kept asking her for personal data; date of birth and mother's maiden name. this is when i told her to stop contact with them right away because this is sensitive data.i am so annoyed with this, the lady is a hardworking, extremely good-natured person and so genuine, that she trusts too much.anyway - kevin i don't know if you've picked up on the international payment office in the netherlands just yet??they don't really appear on google too much, but there is a few links about scams etc. now they have correspondance going to unit 9 trident way, southall.i definately won £9999 in a competetition (i never entered) and if i sent off a cheque to order some slimming tablets then it would speed up my claim. i decided to send it all back (without the cheque of course) and bingo!!! i won!!! £1.00 off any of their slimming tablets. i found it so funny that i am framing the letter confirming my winnings.i think royal mail ought to be sued for breaking the law on handling junk mail, is this something that can be done?re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on jan 31, 2005, 12:22ampayment facillitation services has an address in holland and also at 3, millers close, staines. you are right, royal mail should be brought to book over the spring consortium at 9, trident way. but how is it to done? if i can get journalists to follow it it up, and the public to write to their mp, we may get the scams halted.1040 hd amsterdam isn't a geographical location, it's the post office building where the po boxes are located.you can show my website and message board to the lady that you mention, please print anything you think will help.re: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on mar 29, 2005, 9:02pmthere is extra information on this german website. some of it is copied from my website, but there is much extra detail on the companies.http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.aerger-forum.de/dcforum/dcforumid41/537.html&prev=/sea rch%3fq%3d%2522mk40%2b1wa%2522%26hl%3den%26lr%3d%26sa%3dgre: astrology scam exposurepost by ray1981 on apr 26, 2005, 10:46ami recieved letter this am from skye alexander... being a bit sceptical i searched the name on the net and found her name linked to scams on several sites... the adress she was asking me to send money to: skye alexanderadmail 3648guilfordgu1 1aa this is a mail drop address!!!skye alexander writes books... but this is a scam!!!! re: astrology scam exposurepost by johnt on may 9, 2005, 8:28pmi too have fallen for these scams. they sound good when you are feeling low .it appears i am on the scammer's mailing list. now i check out the person on the net. it is amusing to see how many of these letters are so similar.names like maria duval, raylene van worth, monte farber, esmarelda, joan marie, rosanne shaw, neelie, all have admail addresses in variou towns and cities here in the uk.re: astrology scam exposurepost by wjmacd on jun 7, 2005, 9:30pmi am new at this sort of communication but have found in the very short time i have read your account about the astrology scam exposure stuff, i have been absolutely delighted to hear about your experience about gallery originals 3285 cavendish blvd., suite 472 montreal canada. only last week my elderly mother received one of the letters from this company. addressed to her, it indicated that they had been trying to contact her by telephone on numerous occasions but had not been successful. ( i wondered how they managed to identify her in the first place and if it was correct how they knew her telephone number.) she should then telephone a free phone number 0800-917-4173 and, as she had been chosen to receive 2 of the top 5 awards going out in the british isles promotion they would like to share her good fortune! i telephoned the freephone number and a male answered. he said that there was nobody in the awards department at that time but if i left him my telephone number, he would get somebody to call back within an hour. he asked me for the awards prize claim number contained on the letter and i gave it to him. he again asked me for the telephone number to which i replied "in your letter you stated that you have tried the number on numerous occasions but were unsuccessful, and therefore decided to write with a hope of repy. he immediately became very abusive told me just to "forget it". he said his name was "mr. paterson "and hung up the phone. pretty rude i thought, and phoned him back but this time got a female voice who was obviously being coached and who said that mr. paterson said just to forget it. i am delighted to have found an answer to my suspicions on this website, and in particular from denise. surely the 0800 people can do something about this sort of thing? - thank you very much! re: astrology scam exposurepost by missval on jun 17, 2005, 7:26pmhi to everyone. i am new to all of this. i received a letter in the mail from a dr. ellen vale, psychic and miracle maker. i have checked all over the internet to find some information on this person. among the things revealed in this solicitaion is that a tragedy will befall me if i do not pay her to take off the "malicious ritualistic spell" that has been placed on me. she gives a date. if anyone can tell me anything about this person i would be very thankful.missvalre: astrology scam exposurepost by kevin harrington on jun 17, 2005, 11:18pmdear missval,do you have the address that this cruel hoax is using to scare innocent victims? the name is new to me, but it is quick and simple for the crooks to set up a new campaign. the 'tragedy' threat has been used many times before.please forward the mailing to your local consumer protection organisation. if you are in the usa, there is a form to use, at the end of the year 2004 page on my website.http://www.astrocat.exactpages.comre: astrology scam exposurepost by zed on sept 19, 2005, 3:45pmhello!once i saw a strip of comics that has some bearing to the nature of the scam business discussed here. the strip mentioned five characteristics. i have the opinion that they pass tight like a good suit on the ads and offers and perhaps in some measure too, on the people who run the business and compose those ads and offers. the five characteristics are:1. the lack of empathy2. manipulating behaviour3. self-centeredness4. slippery tongue5. exploiting way of lifeas it happened, in that strip of comics these qualities described a psychopath!
